How Does it Work?
Carpathia engineers create a Virtual Machine (VM) in your choice of shared or dedicated Green Machine for each of your legacy systems. Each new VM is configured with the exact operating system found on your current hardware dependent systems. Files are then migrated off of the internal drives of each legacy system onto the Green Machine Storage Area Network (SAN) via the newly created corresponding VM.
Once all your old systems are migrated into Green Machine, the VMware virtualization resource and memory management tools enable Carpathia engineers consolidation ratios of 15:1 or more while simultaneously increasing performance and flexibility. With your systems consolidated within the high performance server pools, individual server efficiencies reach as high as 85%.
